Sacred Heart Convent School, Sec-39, Urban Estate, LDH observed World Nature Conservation Day with various activities on the theme “Living Sustainably in Harmony with Nature.” Mr. Sandeep Kumar, JE (PSPCL), Ludhiana, graced the occasion as the capacity of the Chief Guest. He was given a grand welcome by our school cabinet. The celebration kicked off with a special assembly, where the school Eco Club delivered an inspiring speech on the theme for World Nature Conservation Day 2024, urging everyone to take responsibility for safeguarding the planet's precious resources. The solemn pledge taking ceremony by the guests and all the students to protect and conserve nature, pledging to reduce waste, promote recycling, and conserve water and energy left a lasting impression on everyone involved. A significant aspect of the celebration was a Mass Tree Plantation Drive organized by the school's eco-club. Students and teachers actively participated in planting saplings outside the school premises, demonstrating their commitment to making a positive impact on the environment.
